I don't spell it - why would I want to sully glorious Epee with something as base as that misspelt toy?

Not really, since the actual question on the poll is "which do you prefer". In which case the other options, or the fact that you don't use a sabre, are irrelevent.

Being *such* a people person, I actually prefer CONOCER to SABER, myself. But both are too irregular for my taste.

I alternate the spelling. I pronounce it "say-burr" thanks to my noble southern accent (and to annoy my girlfriend, the saber fencer).

For this same purpose I sometimes also pronounce it "say-bree," just to make her roll her eyes.
The solution to your problem is to fence another weapon.

I must spread some rep around, but you've got some coming for that!

Nothing explains sabre fencers, my dear. We are mysteries wrapped in puzzles dipped in conundrum sauce; like love and beauty, two concepts which we resemble in oh, so many ways.

Normally, as a woman you would probably understand this. But fencing epee has probably dulled your intuition too much.

SW, I too would rep you for a bilingual pun, but am prevented from doing so. I hope that my admiration is enough.

    Nah, it's much simpler, really.
Anyone who tried to explain sabreurs while not being one had died horrible death, first loosing their hearing and then suffocating (because they could no longer hear warnings from epeeists not to get within smelling distance of sabreur clothing).
And anyone who tried to explain sabreurs while being one - well, the sense of smell is long gone, but ego immediately expanded to fill the whole available space.
Yes, they are egos wrapped in stench dipped in delusion of their own wit

Oh yes, to give credit where it is due, I was writing this post while watching Blackadder II and therefore heavily under its influence. Are you quite satisfied now, Baldrick?
(oops, sorry, I mean Inq of course - see, still under influence)
