| A club for eggheads who need to prop themselves up for supposedly being of superior intellect. I think you need a certain IQ to get in.

| I actually qualify, just so you don't think I'm bitter. I'm just not much of a joiner.

| Apparently, you have to score at or above the 98th percentile. This is because scores on different tests vary: http://www.mensa.org/index0.php?page=10

| It's yet another way of finding a social group that will let you belong to it, distinguished mainly by requiring a test performance rather than a frat hazing or a donation to your alma mater. Like Star Trek fans, heads of state, DAR members, and fencers, the members of Mensa love to think that they are better than other people because that would explain why other people don't adore them as much as they deserve.
I think my dad used to belong, mostly so he could make fun of them but also because they would play chess with him and humor his odder assertions about the Universe.

| I have to ask.. Westly, why this description of them?
As for Mensa, I've qualified for membership but never found any reason to join. I've known a few folks who were members and they ranged from pretty bright and reasonable to talk to, to pretty bright and insufferable. But joining them? Why? Not like I need another social thing to do... |

I'm a big fan of math puzzles and they publish a lot of very nice ones (they are buried among much larger amount of really crappy ones, unfortunately, but who said it would be easy)

OK just kidding, I honestly don't give a rat's *** about your opinion. However, I would like to point out that compared to ZZ, you AND your opinion are worth just about as much as a rat's ***. The rat's ***, unlike you, serves a useful function, at least to the rat. You, however, are just a clown who gathers attention hiding behind a false identity.
Now I suppose you're going to complain about how I'm trying to keep the dumbasses like you down.
