Array Sabre mask/pole lights I discussed this earlier in the armory thread, but here's the question again (this time with video!).
During the US/Russia team final at the Senior World Cup in Vegas, one of the American fencers had their helmet light go on, but not the pole light. The director's call was attack by the American, parry from the Russia, and then the riposte...presumably because the American light didn't go off.
In the video clip, the US fencer is on the left. At about 20 seconds into the clip (during the second slo-mo) you can see the Russian take a swipe at the US fencer's blade--which misses. The US makes an immediate attack and lands, which illuminates the mask, but not the pole. A few frames later, the Russian counter-attack lands, lighting both mask and pole.
The interesting part is that in a disagreement between mask lights and scoring apparatus lights, the mask lights are supposed to prevail.
Russia was awarded the point, after near apoplexy from the US coach. The final margin of victory? 44-45 for the Russians.

There's something wrong with your upload. Aside from the fact I couldn't play it, no useful video file is going to be 11KB. -
