New Amsterdam Fencing Academy

The new NAFA website is finally up (though partially incomplete and, perhaps, still less than perfect).

www.nyfencing.com

We are also officially open for the new year in our brand new space at 104st and Broadway in Manhattan. We've showers, lockers, grounded strips, areas for video analysis, a slew of targets. It kicks.

Check us out.

Jason, does NAFA have regular open fencing hours?

Congrats. My only carp is that I like to see menus at the top of the page - I just like it that way. Lots of pics of kids made me think it was a kids only affair until I looked at your schedule and noticed that there were adult session. I have a question; why is there an adult session between 2.30 and 4 on a Monday?

How's your sabre? I need a place to fence over my winter break, and the commute to NAFA is certainly less of a pain than going halfway out on Long Island for the next closest(available) place.

I prefer the menu at the top too.
I have no clue about the 2:30-4:00 adult thing.
This is the first I noticed it.
I had only a little involvement ion the website, so that well could be a mistake.

All pictures of kids are because kids are the money makers.

The schedule is for classes only.

Everyday, starting at 7 or earlier (Saturdays at 4 or earlier). We're likely to be light for the first few days, now that summers over, but feel free to come on by.

Most of the adult fencing is foil and a little epee. However we've got great kids and teenagers in all weapons.

I'm an advanced beginner/maybe intermediate who fences sabre at NAFA on Tuesday nights, so if you're looking for a bout, come on over after 6:30 or so. You might cut me to ribbons, but then again, you never know.... In any case, the new NAFA spot is great, and the people are the best. I'm a member, and I'm definitely glad I joined--now we just need to get more sabrists in on the action!

Jason -- Good luck. I known John for a very long time, I'm happy that he finally has the chance to open up a place of his own. He's a GREAT person and competitor.

You might want to check out 'contact us' section. Maybe it's just my screen, but I see the pic of John, Larissa, and you, but your name is cut off by the banner.
