| "Fencing Expert" thing...
I'm pretty sure this is new, but I've noticed that alot of new people are now "Fencing Experts." I've also noticed that many of them, me being a good example, are not in fact fencing experts. With some sorting in the member's section, I found that people with alot of rep are all now "Fencing Experts."
I don't think this is a good idea, as the "Fencing Expert" designation allows people who are unfamiliar with the forum to differentiate those who do and don't know what they're talking about. One of the advantages of being in such a small community is that many people know each other, and therefore it is practical to make such distinctions.
There is also the possibility that members who post primarily in the Water Cooler will become experts on fencing because their posts are funny or logical or whatever. As of now, all of the mainly water cooler posters (except me) have gone green anyway, but the amount of rep is going up exponentially, so it's only a matter of time.
So my comment and suggestion is that the "Fencing Experts" we had before should get a new name if we are to continue in this new system. Or I, at least, don't really have an interest in being a "Fencing Expert," because I'm not.
