How many years has everyone been playing for? -
Since 1970. Longer than you have been on the planet, I'll wager. -

Array It will be 3 years in May. EEK! Theses are evil....VERY evil, someone rescue me pls! -
Playing?!?! I don't "play", I fence. -
Hmm, at our club, we use the phrase "playing in traffic", which translates into "bouting with others".
Anyway, to answer the question, I've been fencing for the past 7 months which includes a one month time out and 22 years before that, I fenced for 5 years. My skill level at present probably equates with a 3 year fencer.

I have a Costello sabre from 1973 (dry) with a blue cord wrapped grip that I use for practice bouts. Like me it's all original
and slightly battered. But, hopefully we still have a few thousand bouts left in us.
Best $19.95 I ever spent on equipment.

There were 9 years in november.
I just love fencing.

about 2 years for me. Although anyone here could eat my lunch if I fenced them The only points I'd have would be from the 'Ol "LOOK OVER THERE!" Trick

Array First leanred in 1981-83 at San Diego State (Home of the Marching Spaztecs -- er -- Aztecs. Biggest marchingband I was ever in. 300+ people! GAD we were loud!)
Layed off when I joined the Air Force in '84 and didn't get back into it until 1996. Started competing in 1997 and haven't stopped since.
Too dumb to quit, I guess

Big Poppa and Ron,
I still fit into my Castello jacket which buttons up the side and my Costello knickers and plastron. OK, so I had to move the buttons and the pants are stretchy. I regret tossing my AFLA rule book a few years ago as I thought I would never fence again!!!! HA! Little did I know!
