| I like the idea of California gently slouching away to the north, ambling without a care in the world, and then suddenly being forced underneath the aleutian trench to roil and seethe in hot deep hellish magma.

| I don't think California's going to slouch anywhere anytime soon. Ever notice that blue states tend to be left alone when it comes to natural disasters? So, Yeats' "Second Coming" - ever wonder what it's really about? What's up with that "And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?" I slouch too much, too.

| The blue states have their own disasters: their own governments, for the most part. |

| You ever notice how our government is slowly deteriorating into complete bureaucratical bull****? I don't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat, but we all know that this country's in the crapper.

| When one political party or the other gets too much power, that's when things go downhill. My preferred situation is for the majority of the members of congress and the president to belong to opposing political parties. Very little gets done in such a government and the less the government does, the better it is for the people. Can you tell I'm a bit of a Libertarian?

| I'm not a fan of cheeze-based munchies. But I sure do like good artisinal cheeses. So I brought a nice selection with me... anyone want to help me try them out with this amusing little spanish wine I picked up on the way over?

You can never have too much cheese IMHO. It goes well on everything except Chinese Food and Cereal. |

| Does anyone watch that show "24 Hours"? I haven't had a chance to see it yet. Is it worth looking for?

| No, but I saw a new show "My Name id Earl" the funniest show I have seen in a long time. Worth seeing... I like my comedies without laugh tracks (as most Canadian comedies are).

| First and second seasons are great. Didn't like the third and never saw the fourth. Wow, I just realized that I spent 72 hours in front of a TV just for that show. I wonder how many hours I spend in front of my computer...

(ba-dump-BUMP)
Speaking of Canadian TV, is 'Degrassi' still on up there?

Every episode takes place over 24 hours. I watched like the first two or three programs of the first season, then it became boring.
Imagine, 24 hours and the man doesn't visit the loo once!

As for the bathroom break, when your body is in extreme duress, adrenaline kicks in along with a bunch of other hormones which constrict blood vessels, increase heart rate, dilates the bronchioles, and tells your body to retain more water which is why you don't think about taking a piss when you're running for your life.
