Deja Vu all over again. Same stuff that was published during the '70s.

Some lessons from the 70's were learned, thank goodness.

The number one lesson was that price controls create shortages. By ignoring calls for price controls, instead letting the retailers set market prices this time around, we avoided the long lines and agida of the 70s.

And of course we were better able to absorb the fuel costs due to increased efficiency resulting in lower real demand for gas, and significantly higher wealth in constant dollars to spend on fuel.

All of this has combined to make this spate of fuel prices fairly bearable, and much less a source of frustration and anger as back then.

Thanks, that'll actually come in handy, as I'm not going to be able to drive anywhere anymore unless I start costing less.

Can mrbiggs cost less if rented or leased, instead?

More on saving money on gas: fill up in the morning when it's cooler. On a hot day gas will expand some even in its underground tank. Since you pay by volume, you get more fuel if you fill up when the gas is denser. I've read as much as a 10% improvement. Your Mileage May Vary.

Most gas companies temperature compensate their gas pumps (at least in Canada where there is wide swings in temperatures). The only one that doesn’t is Chevron. You get a better deal with them in the winter for this reason.

But when it's 38C out, you get a worse one.

Exactly.... so it's good to know... besides what do you care? There's no Chevrons past the BC/ Alberta border. It is mainly in the US.

Both .... It's what your body temperature raises to when you see a pair that are 38C.

Will you change your opinion when you hit male menopause a grow a nice set of knockers???

It'll dovetail nicely with your hobby of tying up men's balls with fishing line.
