Virginia's Kickoff Open - September 17-18

The Virginia Division is hosting their annual Kickoff Open on September 17-18, 2005 in The Plains VA:

http://www.va-usfa.org/schedule/20050917.html

In past years we have had 100 in foil, 100 in epee, and 35 in saber, and we expect a similar turnout this year. We have a first class venue, with a great floor, good light, clean new locker rooms with showers, plenty of parking outside, fresh air and a very nice view. (Who comes to a fencing tournament for the view?)

We are still looking for saber referees, if you live in the region and are available please contact me directly.

If you are an A rated foilist or sabreur and may be interested in attending, please contact me directly.

Actully, yes! Right now we have 7 As and 14 Bs preregistered for epee. We don't need any more of them!

But in foil and saber combined, only one A and 6 Bs.

I'm aware of that since you have me in your As! That's gonna be an interesting tournament... even if I will have a big lack of training before going there. I don't think that a couple of training sessions in 3 months will be enough to do well! But never mind, it should be fun anyway and I'm looking forward to fencing there.

See you on sunday.

Only 1 more B needed for an A3 Epee... (and 3 other warm bodies)

"Only" 3 more A's needed for an A4 Epee... (and 1 body)

Nice

(That is, if everyone on the prereg list actually shows...)
