HELP I've encountered problem in my AVATAR
Why I can't set my customize avatar??? it said that

Warning: copy(./customavatars/avatar5810_10.gif): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/fencing/public_html/forums/includes/functions_upload.php on line 335

What's the problem? anyone might have know please help me about it. Thanks.

It's not just you. When I tried to change my avatar I got the same thing. And I can't swap back to my old avatar so I'm just sticking with nothing now.

I have exactly the same problem!!! I wrote about it in another thread (We're back) a couple of days ago and hoped for a reply from Craig, but no response so far. If you learn what is wrong, I would appreciate to hear about it

If you mention it in a thread, he will find it when he hops on the forum and you usually get a response in a few days. He does seem pretty busy these days, and I haven't seen him around too much (but then again neither have I).

Your best bet is to contact him directly through the link provided in my previous post (e-mail is quickest).

I did a quick search and couldn't find any useful info. The only problem I had with my custom avatar is the size. I had to edit this so it fit the restrictions provided. Sorry I am not more helpful.

In the meantime, you could always choose one of the standard avatars.

Updates will be in the "We're back" thread. Seems like it's an issue with .gif avatars only. Something with the server software that resizes the .gifs.

If you have the gif at the correct sizing it should not be an issue. If it is, post to the "We're back" thread.
