| Getting my USFA membership How long does it take for USFA to send you your membership card? Also do they send my card to my dorm address or my permanate address?

| It took about a month to get mine.
I'm still waiting for the magazine that supposedly has the renewal form on it. Every other club/organization I've belonged to has had the common courtesy to send me a bill for my membership renewal.

| One more question... can you fence in USFA competitions if you've send in your application but haven't gotten your card yet? If you can, are you suppose to save a copy of your application or something to prove that you joined?
Reason I'm asking is that I want to make sure I will be at my dorm already to recieve my card. But if it takes a month or two for them to send it anyway, then I might as well send my application in today.

| You could send a fax back confirmation of receipt of membership with your membership application. However, if you already sent it, your section receives regular updates of the membership status of fencers within each section. In the case of the Southwest Section (which accounts of about 10% USFA membership), there are several downloadable files that include who has paid membership and their ratings.
The Southwest Section info is here and was last updated for fencers membership status on Sept. 2: http://www.southwestfencing.org/Membership/index.htm
