    Fencingphotos.com sells posters?

    (Not counting a 10x10 $200 picture as a poster...)

10x10 is for $20 not $200, but i didnt even look to see if they did sell posters, which they apparently dont unless you wanan go into the hundred dolalr range.

Next question, who sells fencing posters?

Amazon has posters offered by PC, I assume PC also has them listed on their website.

Check the other vendors, I think I've seen them listed at least somewhere else.

I know that you can get a few fencing posters from American Fencing (www.amfence.com). Most are in support of various vendors (e.g., Negrini).

We're looking into a few types of posters where the cost would be low (e.g., $15-$20 for a large image) but aren't quite there yet -- it means printing lots of the same image, which is a big up-front cost.

Oops! I guess decimals are important.

    Sorry about that.

    Serge,

The cost to make posters may be big up front, but I am certain there is a market for them. I would definitely buy a few.

I would need to find out what people want most. I kind of know peoples' favorites, and the Jonathan Jumping shot is most likely top-of-the-list. But I still would like to know if I'm right on others and get some feedback ...

    Advice?

Look at it from the same point of view as other sports. What kinds of posters do they sell for the NBA, NFL, etc? Usually, they feature the superstars of the sport, but not necessarily in action.

On the other hand, some exceptional action shots of extraordinary touches would probably be more applicable to fencing. Obviously, something like pro basketball is much more personality driven.

The only advice I would have is to mix-it-up, representing men's foil, women's foil, men's epee, women's epee, etc....... six different posters.

Maybe you should start a new thread/poll????

Thanks ... we'll give it some thought. We're preparing for Leipzig at the moment, and swamped with that. I would like very much to have a couple of posters, at least, in addition to the USFA Olympic one that we did this summer. It's just a matter of doing some up-front funding with something that's going to sell at least 200-300 copies worldwide (in order for us to produce at least a modest profit). Your thread suggestion is good.

You can usually find a few on ebay.
Negrini was selling some neat ones a couple of years ago too.
