Has Freewind changed his name?

Remember Freewind, the tattooed saber fencer from LA area?

Here's someone who looks a lot like him:

NECROPOST!

In fact, that IS Freewind..."Su'a Suluape" was added to his name in Samoa...it's a combination formal name and title, IIRC.

Is this another instance of someone being taken posthumously into a religious sect, ala LDS and the baptism of jews rites?

Wow, he looks a bit different than I remember... maybe it's the hair. Any idea if he's still fencing?

Last time he competed that I remember was 01 Nats....I htink the last time I saw him with an epee ion his hand was a few years ago....after Angela left him. he had a new girlfriend (who has since left him, as I recall), and he carried his own gear into the salle....and those who remember him would understand how significant THAT would be!

He cut the ponytail into dreadlocks after you first moved away, Owens....he lookied like Bob Marley as a pageboy! The current style is a cross between dreads and a mullet.

He's obviously had a LOT more work done on him....you have to look hard to see the panther now, where before it leapt out at you.

Nope.....that's Freewind in all his glory....he IS a recognized tattooist world-wide....fencedall three weapons for a number of years....definitely an intersting sight to see at a NAC!

He is also Sir Freewind in the SCA. ( One wonders how he integrates the tattoos into a medieval European persona. )

I am a bit surprised to find that a guy who calls himself Freewind accepts titles and labels with such equanimity, though...
