| super glue on uniform I was regluing a blade the other day and accidentally put a big drop of super glue on my Uhlmann FIE Olympia pants. Do you guys think it would be OK to soak the spot in acetone? |

| I would go less intense. First try nail polish remover, which is actually a diluted form of acetone.

I use nail polish remover to get CA off my fingers after working on building model airplanes. Be careful what you buy, however. The current crop of nail polish removers available in the drug stores come in a variety of scents and colors. I wouldn't worry about the scent, but you would be wise to test to see if the color will stain the fabric.

| Ok. This is what I did. I soaked the spot in industrial strength acetone after first spot testing it with nail polish remover. No problem at all. The acetone softened and loosened the super glue enough for me to scrape most of it out of the fabric with my finger nails. The was still some super glue residue in the fiber so I just put the uniform in the hot wash cycle and now its all out. |

| Oh, I don't know. Scissors would work, I'm sure. Perhaps a blowtorch... |
