3/4 body plastron

I hate to ask a stupid question like this one, but here goes:

I ordered a Leon Paul 3/4 body FIE 800 N plastron and it came today (along with my epee, yay!) I'm looking at my plastron and noticed that there's the string that goes around your neck area to secure the plastron when you wear it, however I don't see the other string where it's supposed to go around your waist area... I never owned a plastron before so I wouldn't know what to expect anyway.

So, my question is - what happened to the string material that's supposed to go around your waist area? I was comparing my plastron to the picture on the LP website by the way. Did they do some changes to the plastron so that there's no longer any of that waist string thing? Only thing around that waist area are those 2 plastic D-shaped things where the string is supposed to tie around...
