Is there a website or an online database that lists old world championship results? Or even world cup results?

And by old I mean as far back as the 50s.

I would like to see the results of the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, as well as the qualifiers for the USA team.

You can search the IOC database for all medal winners at

http://www.olympic.org/uk/athletes/r...earch_r_uk.asp

For a static list of the Olympic fencing medal winners you can go to

http://www.hickoksports.com/history/olfencing.shtml

Did Omnes really beat Golubitsky 2-1 in the 1992 Olympic final?

no, i think you will find that is 2 sets to 1. as, in those days, they did best of 3 first-to-fives. they dropped that when they realised that you could get more hits and still lose.

golubitsky mentions that in his autobiography that it went down to the last hit and that everyone thought he threw the fight after a pay off. he denies it.

Unfortunately I didn't mean medal winners in my first post, because no one from the USA won any fencing medals. I'm just looking for the USA competitors and their finishes.
