Okay, from guard to tip how long are the #2 blades supposed to be? The ones used in y-10 and y-12 competition.

It's about 32 inches long but it not really define anywere in the rule book M.8 for foil m.16 for epee. If I remenber correct only the US requries it for the Y10 and Y12 and accord to the story it was started by one person who husband had the power to make it so. I beleive the #2 was manfacture mark lik #4 and #5 blade which all are differert length.

As Tim said last year the #2 was not defined. It depended on the manufacturer. The USFA has dropped the #0, #2 blade requirement as unenforceble. They have instituted a new rule that the blades for Y-10 must be less than 32.5". You can find this brand new information and all other information in the Youth Procedure Manual.
