Epee in Las Vegas, NV. Hi all,
Been out of fencing for awhile and have the itch to go at it again. Never
went beyond a "U" level in Epee, but I feel like entering a one-touch epee
competition here next month. Have dug out my old gear and cleaned it up.
I have several electric epee's and two favero mini-buzzers for them. I
have dry foils and a dry epee too. I have several jackets as well. I'm
down to one good mask as my other two I had modified for SCA light weapons
use (before they cancelled light weapons here in my area)
I am also interested in getting into foil competition. I have an electric
foil, and lame, but no body cord or mini-buzzer's for this. When I can, I
will get them though.
As for experience, I studied for a year and a half under the late Coach
Berger at UNLV, and then a few years back I made a one semester comeback at
UNLV under Coach Hike Hambarzumian, who is a champion epee fencer.
Unfortunately I'm too cash strapped to buy anything new or to join a club.
They have some nice new clubs here in Las Vegas, but the average monthly
cost is $60. Open fencing once in awhile for an average $10 strip fee is
not too bad.
Anyone living in Las Vegas feel like training with me privately. I'm
usually totally free on Mondays and Tuesdays, and on Sunday evenings and
Wednesday mornings.
Reply to this news listing or at my following email, and I'll get back with
you. Thanks.
Sincerely,
