Array The mystery shoe...... Here in small town south georgia one of our fencers on her way to practice sees a shoe lying int he middle of an intersection. She thinks, "That looks like a fencing shoe." She stops, she looks, it is a fencing shoe. A PBT fencing shoe, right foot, large, (size 11+ it looks like) almost brand new. No one in our club wears that shoe. so we are left with the mystery of where the heck did this shoe come from? Is there a fencer here that we don't know about? there is one guy here who trains in Atlanta but the folks didn't recall him wearing PBT and haven't seen him yet since school hasn't started.
At any rate, there is now one lonely fencing shoe sitting in our club. If you give a man a fire, he is warm for the night.

Array This reminds me:
True story ---
I was driving one night one a country road, and thought I saw an animal in the road. I slowed down, but it wouldn't get out of the road. I stopped, realized it was an article of clothing, and when I got out to investigate - I found it to be a pair of my own pants with my wallet in the pocket, and about 300usd still inside.
I didn't even know I was missing pants

Array I know what MY answer would be.
Swordsen, is there a subsidiary of a company called Confuse-A-Cat doing business in your town, by any chance? -

Array This reminds me of a David Lynch movie.
Maybe it should be "Shoe Velvet"?
