| Check this one out! Sorry but it is midnight and I am finally done with this and if I don't show it to someone now, I will bust something. http://www.geocities.com/fencinglessons/8.html
Check out the animated graphic on disengaging. It will take a while but it is cool!

| Very cool Stryder! It worked well for me! Very cool! I am looking forward to seeing what you have in mind for the future of your website.
I am starting to put a fencing site together for myself. Being a beginner in both websites and Fencing, I could use alot of help!

| Stryder,
Did you reverse the labels on the lines today? I swear you had it reversed ("Feint in four, hit in six)". I was about to send you a p-message about it when I went to doublecheck it and, lo, it looked right this time.
Then again maybe it was right the whole time. That would explain some of my fencing problems.

Um... yeah, it was right the first time...perfect.
Look I told you it was midnight! Give me a break! I reversed Cliffy's image to make the hit more clear and forgot to change the labels.
I was hoping I got it before anyone saw it.

| It's kind of odd that the animation shows the attacking blade feigning into a closed line. That doesn't force the opponent to parry or draw a reaction.
Plus, the defending blade isn't parrying or even moving. The parrying action facilitates the disengage.
Not to slam your animation, but this one isn't as good as your other ones.

| Geez, you just can't please some people!
Just kidding, Space. The whole site is a work in progress and any criticism is welcome. Maybe I'll get ambitious one day and add in Cliff's frightened sweep for the blade. (I'd be frightened if a pilotless foil started feigning and disengaging to my closed line!)

| Taking suggestions.
What else is needed?
Point in Line has ben requested, but I think that is covered in Lesson 5
"...point in line is a great way to lose with dignity..."
What else?

If it is possible how about trying for "flicks" ? Flicks to shoulder, flicks to back ... to flank ... right Vs left, right Vs right ... etc .

| Okay!
At the suggestion of certain cadets that shall remain nameless. I rebuilt the disengage animation so it properly reflects the panic that overtakes our victims when we properly execute a disengage.
Thanks for all of your ideas. I am still working on a flick demo, but I am wondering if beginners should practice the flick. With few exceptions, I don't teach the flick until someone has had a couple of years of fencing practice. www.geocities.com/fencinglessons/8.html
