The biggest mistake I ever made was one year I decided to keep track of all of the $$$ I spent on fencing stuff.

This is the stuff divorces are made of!
and of course we all get these calls

" . . .Ah, coach?.... I wrecked your van . . ."
" . . Ah, coach ? I think we wrecked your car . . ."
" . . .Ah, coach. what kind of mask was that you lent me . . ."
and of course the all time kicker.
" . . Is this coach ________,we have one of your students down here at central lock-up (Jail)."

Cheers

I was the bout commitee chair for Northern Ohio for the previous three years. Yes, the Northern Ohio Division has an elected bout commitee chair that was responsible for the running and oversight of all divsion run events. Sometimes that meant I ran 3 tournaments in a given month. Of course if I wanted the touranament to run smooothly, the I also brought the equipment. Of course I had to make sure all the equipment worked first. Never mind attempting to deal with the politics of certain coaches and fencers. No wonder I drink so much now.
