| I was beginning to wonder if you were even going to do it this year. Cancellation would have been a sin. See you there!
Giving us GPS coordinates was a good idea. I had a really hard time finding you guys last year.
Are you going to warn the cops ahead of time this year?

| Charlie must have talked to someone in the city since he was informed that our usual spot was booked for a wedding at 5 pm. That means we'll be more towards the center of the beach instead of near the jetties.

Was it necessary to tell them who was in the bikini?

| I can't imagine feeling safe fencing someone in a bikini unless I was using a bopper or something other than a ordinary weapon. Even if you just aimed at mask the odds of a bad whipover seem excessively high.
This post is not intended to prevent the wearing of bikinis at any time other than when blades are being swung at you. |

| In the old days in the original incarnation of this event it was done at Dawn. But the afternoon evening is till fun. I assume by the restaurant reference there will not be the picnic on the beach this year?

Finally, a good reason to wear FIE ballistic knickers in sabre.

I haven't actually been to fencing in about a month (work).

| SwordSen is right. In the ancient past, when Gene Gettler hosted the event, there was a fencing tournament in the pavilion on St Simon's Island (one year, I think it was held pool-side at a large hotel), followed by a long and raucous party, and then dueling in the surf on Sunday morning.
A great way to get the day going... fencing, oceanside with a GREAT sunrise...
The current incarnation sounds like a great time, too!
