| This year was a resounding success! We actually had the cops called on us as we were setting up. Apparently the lifeguards got a little anxious as all of our weapons were being pulled out. And yes there was at least one fencer, who is a prominent poster on this board, fencing in a bikini, and no... it was not me... We're working on getting pictures up, be on the lookout for either myself or the ever lovely DE_S_T to post some!
EDIT: Actually I will probably post some video that DE_S_T took!

| I predict the forum will be disappointed. Ms Bikini-clad-DE_S_T was the one taking all the pictures...

| I think it would have to be at least waist high to not be noticed. |

Also I have loaded some pictures and one video. These come courtesy of DE_S_T!

| Fencers actually enjoying themselves? Outdoors? For the whole world to see? You're lucky the authorities didn't round you up and drop you off at the nearest fencing club with a stern finger-wagging.
Seriously though - what a great idea. Looks like a lot of fun (for foil or saber, anyway). Did anyone launch any diving attacks? |

Where's the remise? | Watch it again. As the flunging/diving fencer misses there's a quick 5-parry and riposte (very likely short), then a redoublement of the riposte (with cross-step?) as the fencer on the left tries to get back up out of the water.

| Yeah, tries.
I was under the impression you can't establish right of way until you take your face out of the water.
But then again, I'm an epee fencer, so what do I know? |

This is only the 2nd time I've ever competed sabre, but I have to say that that this was, by far, one of the most enjoyable tournaments I've ever been to. I'll definitely be there next year!
