Good work, bmcfencer! Unfortunately, someone already answered in a PM, but you get a rep, anyway!

    The original sentence was:

When put to the test, however, it invariably produced a plastic cup filled with a liquid which was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea.

not right at all... I think its because none of the colors made me feel good.

Wow, that was really cool. I can see how it could relate to a lot of people though.

it wasn't like entirely accurate, but i rushed the test a little. ther'es another colorgenics test on the internet, and i'd post the link, but i just went there and it's broken/down/whatever.

Is seeking a solution to existing problems or anxieties, but is liable to find it difficult to decide on a right course to follow.

Distressed by the unsatisfactory state of some close association. Feels unable to do anything to restore affinity and mutual trust, and considers that she is tied down in an unhappy situation from which she cannot escape.

Feels that she cannot do much about her existing problems and difficulties and that she must make the best of things as they are. Able to achieve satisfaction through sexual activity.

Feels that things stand in her way, that circumstances are forcing her to compromise and forgo some pleasures for the time being.

Needs to feel identified with someone or something and wishes to win support by her charm and amiability. Sentimental and yearns for a romantic tenderness.

Anxiety and a restless dissatisfaction, either with circumstances or with unfulfilled emotional requirements, have produced considerable stress. She tries to escape into an idealized atmosphere of sympathy and understanding, or into a substitute environment of estheticism and beauty.

Depleted vitality has created an intolerance for any further stimulation, or demands on her resources. This feeling of powerlessness subjects her to agitation and acute distress. She attempts to escape into a substitute world in which things are more nearly as she desires them to be.

OK, I'm getting a vibe here ... Does someone on this thread have an important male figure in his life whose name begins with the letter J? Or possibly a woman with the letter M? ... Yes, definitely: I sense an important journey on the horizon ... And financial issues that hang heavy on your mind. Or possibly sexual issues ... You wish for more responsibility, but it frightens you ...

    Oy.

    I agree.

Why do people, who otherwise appear to be sane, feel the need to believe this stuff?

    Because it is fun!

But, I think there is a big difference between having a laugh at how alike or unlike the analysis is and whether one would believe it or not! You can have a fun "Ha" at what the results were, and not truly believe it at all.

The colour test has decided I am a normal human being... Thank you!

    Your Existing Situation

Insecure. Seeks roots, stability, emotional security, and an environment providing greater ease and fewer problems.

    Your Stress Sources

Feels that life has far more to offer and that there are still important things to be achieved--that life must be experienced to the fullest. As a result, he pursues his objectives with a fierce intensity that will not let go of things. Becomes deeply involved and runs the risk of being unable to view things with sufficient objectivity, or calmly enough; is therefore in danger of becoming
agitated and of exhausting his nervous energy. Cannot leave things alone and feels he can only be at peace when he has finally reached his goal.

    Your Restrained Characteristics

The situation is preventing him from establishing himself, but he feels he must make the best of things as they are. Conditions are such that he will not let himself become intimately involved without making mental reservations

    Your Desired Objective

Strives for a life rich in activity and experience, and for a close bond offering sexual and emotional fulfillment.

    Your Actual Problem

The fear that he might be prevented from achieving the things he wants leads him to play his part with an urgent and hectic intensity.
    Take your time. Read carefully.

Allow me to be brutally honest with you...

    Your Existing Situation
Physical illness, over-tension, or emotional distress have taken a severe toll. Her self-esteem has been reduced and now needs peaceful conditions and considerate treatment to permit recovery.

    Your Stress Sources
The situation is regarded as threatening or dangerous. Outraged by the thought that she will be unable to achieve her goals and distressed at the feeling of helplessness to remedy this. Over-extended and feels beset, possibly to the point of nervous prostration.

    Your Restrained Characteristics
Willing to participate and to allow herself to become involved, but tries to fend off conflict and disturbance in order to reduce tension.
Feels rather isolated and alone, but is too reserved to allow herself to form deep attachments. Egocentric and therefore quick to take offense.

    Your Desired Objective
Alert and keenly observant. Is seeking fresh avenues offering greater freedom and the chance to make the most of them. Wants to prove herself and to achieve recognition. Striving to bridge the gap which she feels separates her from others.

    Your Actual Problem
Agitation, unpredictability, and irritation accompanying depleted vitality and intolerance of further demands have all placed her in a position in which she feels menaced by her circumstances. Feeling powerless to remedy this by any action of her own, she is desperately hoping that some solution will provide a way of escape.
