Hmm... people are starting to do their shopping for school supplies, and some clubs may be looking to pick up some new equipment before the summer break is over - this would be a good time to have a sale, methinks... Pound for pound, the amoeba is the most vicious animal on earth.

LP UK does their summer sale every year, and notifies everyone via their newsletter. Since LP USA is still slowly building up stock and does not have a storefront, I think they are just not participating in the event. Besides, they just got done with what is effectively their US Summer Sale with the 15% off Sacramento Summer Nationals discount code for everyone that went to nationals and stopped by the both. Hopefully next year LP USA will be able to offer the same discount at the same time, or start their own summer sale event of some sort as it is traditionally my favorite time to stock up on LP kit and parts (for smaller orders, under $300 or so, it effectively offsets the international shipping, which LP USA does not charge to begin with and that may be another reason they did not participate in the sale).
Just keep in mind that the sale does not apply to anything that is not in stock (I think that it was originally more of a store clearance sale for UK customers that sort of grew into the internet) so any uniforms/lames that need to be custom cut or special orders like colors or designs will not get the discount. Still, a great way to stock up on off the shelf gear and parts for the more normal sized masses. Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!

Can people in the US still get the discount? I mean, they ship from the same place after all.
I know, I could have sent my order in to LeonPaulUSA yesterday, but I don't get paid until Tuesday and I'm broke after paying for 3 tickets to Hawaii.

When LPUSA opened, they made it clear that US customers can order from either source. Advantage to ordering from the UK is no VAT. Advantage to ordering form LPUSA is free shipping and easy returns. The choice is up to you.
