[CFML] Hello Hello all,
I've already posted here a couple of times and haven't introduced
myself yet, so I guess now's the time to do so.
Mi name is Michael E. Moss, and I live in Barcelona, Spain. In this
city there are no "officially" classical salles, but I've been taking
lessons under master Imre Dobos, and his teachings are quite
classical in nature. In his salle we abstain from using any
electronic equipment, and we pay good attention to analysing our
phrases d'armes.
I am mainly a sabreur, although I have done both foil and épée.
I sincerely hope that classical fencing shall thrive in Spain, as we
do have a long tradition of fencing in this country which sadly has
been lost. If I ever had the money to do so, I'd gladly invest it
into founding a classical salle and inviting masters to give their
classes there. It's a long term project, but it just might prove to
be the spark that will re-light the flame of classical fencing in my
county, which is presently all but extinct.
Cheers,
"Von Moss"
