I have to say that having a tournament at PdF is one of the nicest experiences possible. The club itself is spectacular (looking out at a waterfall from huge windows) and well equipped--the strip set-up and machines are outstanding. Not only that, it was a real eye-opener to attend a small club tournament that was as well-run as, say, the Pomme de Terre (surprise, surprise). The format was ingenious and designed to provide good fencing for everyone.
You all shoulda been there. | And the experience was made even nicer (at least for me) by having new and different people there to fence. I hope we'll continue to draw people from further away up to our tournaments.
