| So, yeah. It was pretty fun... Only an hour long though. We did footwork and lunging drills.

I don't believe you! We're all expecting to hear things like "Why didn't I start earlier", "Whooo, I'm in love!" or "I can't wait 'til my next class".
I'm only (half) joking, but I hope you'll stay with the sport -- it's a lifelong passion.

| The first classes are a little boring... lots of drills. Wait until you get to fence cheesethief... it's a blast!

It can be dicouraging to find that you can barely walk the next day.

| I can be a bit of a masochist at times, so I wouldn't mind that.

| Ahhhh! My second class was wicked fun. We suited up and did some target practice using each other. I'm going to buy my own mask next class, because the ones they let you use reek. Probably gonna buy a foil to practice with at home also.

| Be careful when buying equipment because alot of clubs will give you coupons to get discounts on equipment when you finish their beginning classes. Glad you're enjoying yourself. I was hooked from day one. Also, don't buy a foil yet because you don't know which weapon you're gonna want start going in-depth on until you've reached the intermediate level. I'm a Foilist myself, but alot of decide they like Epee or Saber better. |
