Saberist? Sabrist? Which is Right?

Some things are probably impossible.

On a note to some local ladies fencing sabre: You'll never look masculine (if that's ever your goal, which I doubt) with that much mascara.

I prefer Sabre...the current USFCA Glossary uses them interchangeably, almost randomly it seems and I've pointed that out. Most fencing texts refer to Sabre. Canada (CFF) uses Sabre...

Because there are many beautiful female sabre fencers...so beautiful in fact that they deserve their own title.

Too bad I can't pronounce either sabreur or sabreuse well enough. Wouldn't dream of cannibalizing a beautiful language like French. I have my own language to eat, lol.

You do realize that half the words in the English language ( seemingly ) are adopted from French? Including several you just used up there...
