[CFML] Where have all the original members gone?

Dear List,

Kim and I were discussing off list how a number of the original members of
this list have either dropped off the list or resigned themselves to
inactive status.

Back between 1998 and 2000 there were a number of "knowledgeable and
influential people" who use to make some very intelligent and/or stimulating
posts on this list, whom we rarely if ever hear from anymore. I consider
this to be unfortunate.

Last night I was reading through some of this lists' earliest posts and
noticed a lot of old familiar names which I don't see anymore: Masters
Martinez, Master Crown, Master Evangelista, Master Lurz, Master Andrea Lupo
Sinclair, Zebee Johnstone, David Z Laloum, Chris Umbs, Bryan J. Maloney,
John Blair Moore, David Whippler (David Achilles), Patrick Peritore,
Christian Darce, Jared Kirby, Andy Baiman, Edgar de La vega, Steve Hicks,
Ken Mondschein, Mark Rector, Milo Thurston, Joshua Kronengold, Bob Lyle,
William Black, Tristantrout, Brian D Shenck.

And even others such as Master Sullins, Master Hayes, and Stephen Hand don't
seem to post quite as much as they did in the early days of the list.

Why do y'all think some of these folks have dropped off of the list and why
do y'all think we don't hear from the others as much as we did in the
earlier years of this list?

Also I noticed last night that of this lists 7552 posts a whopping 5243 were
made between June 25, 1998 and December 3, 2000 (in the first two and a half
years of this list), whereas we have only had some 2243 posts in the last
five years. Could there be a connection here?

Blessings,
Rez Johnson
