Exciting fencing stories?

While everyone has had countless stylish moves, too many to count and recount for a reply to this, is there any particular things you have seen someone do while fencing or done yourself that have stuck in your mind?

I'll start it off:

At Australian U/17 nationals this year, we saw a spectavular stunt by a victorian foilist. He was being chased backward down the piste, but got in a parry riposte. However, when he tried to stop himself, he tripped over, dropped his foil, his mask came off, and he rolled over backward. However, just as he righted again, amazingly, he caught his mask. Maybe you had to be there to see it, but if it wasn't a National level competition, we would have appealed to get him 1 extra point for style.

There was another thing. At the last Duel Des Ecoles, a schools team foil tournament, it was an italian relay, in teams of three. Unfortunatly, due to an earlier competition, the best foilist was out. He still came along to cheer us on, but it looked useless. However, when we asked our coach, we came up with a plan to still be able to fence with only 2 fencers, since our reserve was (very) late. So we went off to fence, entering our injured teammate as usual, but when it came for him to actually fence, we took him off on injury, so, the other team's points were raised to what they should get to imediatly. So any margins we got over the opposing team were useless. However, even with this large disadvantage, we still managed to beat the teams we went up against, albeit with a margin of 6 points maximum. It was grueling, but we managed it. For the 3rd match, our reserve finally showed up, but it was too late, as our indicator was too low to allow us to fence in the final.

Any of you have interesting stories to tell?

No. Fencing is boring and uneventful.

Seriously, when you've been fencing as long as I have, the stories all seem to blend together. The ones I HAVE managed to remember I've probably recounted so many times here that people would roll their eyes the way they do when grandpa tells his WWII stories for the umpteenth time if I told them yet again...

When I was just starting sabre, I tried to do a cut ot the right side of my opponets mask... and the blade bent around his head to hit (and unsnap) the snap on the left side of his mask

YOULLSEEE is on a distinguished road
I once nailed a guy in the mask while he crouched for a toe touch.
I hit him hard enough to either knock or scare him off balance.
