Sugre pro. vs Battery back

Most prpolr is underneath the idea if they have a surge pro on there machiine is proteceted. What kill a power supply is not a surge of power but lack of power. When power drop below 110v the power supply is trying to draw extra power to run the equuipement. All my emb machine and computer has the ABS battery backup and surge protect on them. proprint wear learn the hard at Nats. because at Sac has brown outs he left is machine friuge tht the surge protect was enough to protect it. His 15,000 brsnd mschine no only lose it power supply now it has to go in for a check up to see whst else is wrong. A sugre protect dors protect against power sugre but not against a lack of power

That's a good point - I see the occasional computer failure because of brownouts, and there's no reason why fencing equipment would be any different. Ah, Ohm's law strikes again...

Do you have any recommendations for UPSes for score boxes, etc? Would the idea be to keep the equipment running for a longer period of time, or just long enough for you to shut it down and take it off the mains?
