    fencing magizine

Just about every other sport out there has a magizine (even sports like cross-country running) I was just wandering if there were any English magizines out there?

There even is a magazine about walking.
But apparently fencing isn't as popular.

There's a magazine you get by being a member of the USFA. I think that's the closest to an actual publication.

    "American fencing" the magazine. http://www.uncg.edu/student.groups/f...ericanFencing/

    "The Sword" British fencing magazine.
    (No link found)

So they aren't available at your local news stand. There are some mags that ARE that I'd just as soon not be on the shelf with.

Contact the FIE. They also have a multi-lingual publication which includes English. Check out www.fie.ch for more details.

There is another magazine available that I highly recommend: Fencers Quarterly.
    Visit their website at: http://users.townsqr.com/ale/fqm.htm

A couple of years ago I approached Rodale Publications (Runner's World) about a fencing magazine. They weren't really interested at the moment because of potential readership numbers.

I of course reminded them of their roots. Runner's world was a great magazine in the early 70's just before the jogging boom.

Escrime International (the FIE official magazine) issues are available in PDF format on the FIE web site-- look under "News" and scroll to the bottom (additional issues are under "Archives"). It's actually _less_ substantive that American Fencing-- mostly puff pieces about Rene Roch visiting the Equatorial Guinean Fencing Federation and brief, glossy summary reports from World Cup tournaments. Since each article is repeated in French, English, and Spanish, there's not much space for anything in-depth.
