    Rocky

Watching Rocky V on tv.. IV was by far the best.

Still don't believe its physically possible to take as much punishment as Rocky does during the movies.

    Music FREAKING RULES though..

What do you guys think of the rocky movies? I'll NEVER take up boxing

Any movie with Mr. T in it is good.

I liked the Rocky movies (didn't like V very much, but hey...), but really - how many times can one guy be the underdog? I mean - whoo - look out for Apollo Creed, he's going to whup ya. Whoo - look out for Apollo Creed again, he's gonna whup ya again. Whoo - look out for Clubber Lang, he's gonna really whup ya. Whoo - look out for the drugged-up-brainwashed-acme-of-human-evolution Soviet guy, he's just killed Appollo (remember, Apollo was supposed to whup ya twice), and now he's gonna whup ya!

At least they worked in the brain damage angle for Rocky V, it added a little dose of realism, I think.

I just cringe when I see the robot following him around the house (I think that was Rocky IV) - it was really cool at the time, but now it's... painful.

    Mr T was in III.

And IV sucked massive donkey d***.

The best of them all is still the first. No question about it.

I agree with most of these comments (in one way or another).
    - First Rocky was the best by far.
    - Second Rocky was okay for me.
    - Third Rocky was entertaining. Most enjoyable scenes 1) Mr. T hitting on Rocky's wife, 2) Charity match with Hulk Hogan, 3) Final scene with Apollo.
    - Fourth Rocky had a good soundtrack and the Siberian training.
    - Fifth Rocky was awful, although watching the final street fight scene falls into the category of a guilty pleasure for me.

My best Rocky movie is the first. After that the third is very good especialy the soundtrack. The others were not so good.

Rocky I was awesome but II felt slapped together so they could get on to making III.

Number IV didn't really do much for me untill training scenes and the actuall bout.

All of the sequels were pretty formulaic(sp?) though.

Maybe the next one will be better? ( I heard that Stallone has agreed to do #6. )

Scuttlebutt in the industry is that #6 is already in the works. Story based loosely on George Foreman's comeback (glory days long past, sponsorships dried up, money gone, gets back in shape a little and goes back to fighting in small venues, wins enough to attract attention, has a big comeback fight). In the story, Rocky must confront a modern boxing superstar, much different from the Apollo Creed days. To give the story some oomph, the superstar isn't necessarily a bad guy, but is in the ring himself because of his own personal demons. So the showdown is really important to both of them for different reasons.

Much as I hate to say it, this doesn't sound like a bad concept. I'd consider producing it, if it came across my desk.

I LOVVVEEEE all the Rocky movies!!

(the fourth was the best for me)

And Cinderella Man was a great movie too, maybe even better because it was a true story.

Hey, has anyone seen Million Dollar Baby yet?(not to thread-jack...)

Mmm...I think so. But mostly for the fact that I was surprised how the story went.

I mean, I thought it was going to be predictable but was surprised. Now I won't reveal any more -- go rent it!

man, (sport) Fencing needs a movie like that. I mean, look at us, we're the only combat sport without some sort of inspirational movie. Boxing has all the Rockies and others like Cinderella Man, Martial Arts have the Karate Kid..a bit of a stretch, but still the same concept...and Wrestling has Vision Quest. Surely there has to be a screenplay somewhere for something like this.
