| i was told....not by anyone who knows him, just general rumor, is that he's taking time off, but will still make the push for the olympics in 08. i mena after you've just been to 2 straight Olympics, I can see why you'd want a little break. |

| And whatever happened to Andre Crompton? Wasn't he better than his brother at one time? Did he get injured? Get a demanding job? Lose interest in fencing? ( He did sabre, so I find THAT hard to believe. ) |

Andre is in Delaware working. Hes come to the NY duals to watch Adam the last two years, and came to Houston for Championships. And yes he was better than Adam, but that was a little while ago, before Adam grew into the most physically dominating fencer on the planet. |

| Why is it that only 2 of the fencers selected are from Southern States, with the almost half coming from either New York, New Hampshire or New Jersey? |

What kind of question is that? |

The way it has always been. NYC and NJ have always dominated US Fencing. |

They EARNED this spot in competition. The team is mostly from the northeast because the northeast produces most of the good fencers.
Maybe not what you intended, but you should be aware that using the word "selected" makes it seem that you are implying a bias of some sort.
