Wow, it's great! Google bought out a software company (Keyhole) and rebranded it. It is a satellite imaging program that gives you a God-like image of the the world. You can soar in on cities (some rendered with 3d buildings), travel instantaneously from the Eiffel Tower to the pyramids of Egypt. Best of all, it's free! Download it now.
A fan base has been built up of users of the Keyhole system satellite imaging program rebranded Google Earth), so take a look around the web for kmz and kml files whick allow 3d rendering of some major architectural wonders. My computer is soo underpowered, when I swooped to the polygon redering of the Eiffel Tower, I saw it almost as if it was being build piece by piece.
