Veterans Challenge 5, Boston, Sep 10-11

We are having the fifth Veterans Challenge near Boston on Sep 10-11, 2005. We expect about 100 fencers for Individual and Team Events in 6 weapons. Bring your own team or make one up on the spot. Last year, Men's Epee was an "A" event and Men's Foil, Sabre, Women's Foil, and Epee were "C" events.

Information and a Registration Form are available at www.neusfa.org. We expect on-line registration to be available later.

The Registration Fee includes a Lobster Clambake and free T-shirt if received by Sep. 5. The event is one week after the Veterans World Championships in Tampa. In 2002, we had 15 fencers from England and Germany participate and hope to have more this year. We have had an inquiry from Kazakhstan.

I recommend this event highly. The clambake is excellent, and so is the T-shirt. Check out the team events, too!

. . . and I would like to see more veteran women sabre fencers this year. One highly accomplished foil fencer tried the sabre last year and I just saw her at Summer Nationals doing it again, saying she didn't know why it took her this long to discover it!
