| Doubles Fencing Last night at my club we did some doubles fencing(epee). Our armorer rigged up a doubles electric strip. It was pretty fun because it kept you on your toes looking at both fencers. The hard part was if your partner got a touch against them and you were left against two other fencers. Does anyone else do this? I wouldn't want to do it too often, but it was pretty fun.

| How exactly is this setup? Two people per side, either one can score against either of the others? What's the wiring diagram? |

| Doubles epee is a blast. I'd love to see more opportunities.
My favorite moment: Left alone against two opponents, I beat one blade aside and fleched at the other, evening the odds. Normally it's nearly impossible to survive 2-to-1. |

| I actually survived 2 on 1 about 50% of the time, but it is freakin hard. Our armorer set up a "y" adaptor between two reels for each side. I dont know the exact wiring diagram but she built the adaptor using old body cords.
Yes, it is 2 on each side and anyone can hit anyone (except people on your own team). The best is to be fencing the person in front of you and then just flicking the person diagonal to you on the wrist because you have such a good angle.

If we do this again, I think we should look at widening the strip to about a strip and a half.

| I have done this before with my school team... I think my coach does it beacuse its fun, and it gives a chance for the novices to team up and pick on the varsity fencers. It also keeps the varsity fencers from getting cocky! lol.. It is a lot of fun, we did it foil, and dry, beacuse it is just easier that way! Our problem with that was, we had difficulty staying in a strip, and it turned into circle fencing... |

| I set it up for my club, weve only done it or epee. the setup is rather easy I could possibly make up a diagram if needed. It took me about 20 minutes to set up, and we had fun puting a newbie and a veteran on each team to see how it pans out. The strip we use it approximatly 3 metres wide.
