And then you post a link to you LJ so we can read about what you think, as though it's important amongst all the chaos that London is going through right now. You are SUCH a prick.
I kinda agree with this. Wouldn't characterize as being a prick, but definitely as seeking attention improperly.
The fact that one used to live in the general vicinity is of little value here. The only way I could see it being remotely on point is if one said "I used to live there, so you might not know [fact not generally known], and therefore [helpful observation]." "What did I tell you about being stupid? You don't get a birthday this year." -

Array Perhaps you don't know what the term empathy means. By relating that she had once lived there, Zelda was implying that the area holds special meaning for her, that she knew people directly involved allowing her to more closely empathize with the people who went through this horrible event. Not a way to grab attention at all, merely a way to state that these actions greatly sadden her because she has an emotional connection with those involved. This is a normal HUMAN reaction to events of this magnitude. We don't directly feel the pain and suffering of others, we feel them vicariously through empathy; the ability to identify with and understand another's situation, feelings, and motives. Some empathize with those who are suffering, others feel that degrading other people's responses is a legitimate way to get the attention that they crave. And to make it perfectly clear, yes FTH I'm talking about you.
Sorry, Zelda, if I'm putting words in your mouth or ascribing thoughts and feelings you don't have. "Since when does being a patriot in America mean shutting your mouth?"

You're spinning more than Karl Rove, buddy. Me thinks Zelda gives you a hard-on, which is why you're writing such a poorly framed psychoanalysis of her actions. She does this ALL THE TIME. It's getting on my damn nerves, now more than ever, because it's the people who were hurt we should thinking about, not her.
Not a way to grab attention at all
No, not at all. Because, we wouldn't want you to think an opinion other than your own is possible.

Empathy isn't self-serving, and Zelda's comments were.
And to make it perfectly clear, yes FTH I'm talking about you.
I had no idea.
Sorry, Zelda, if I'm putting words in your mouth or ascribing thoughts and feelings you don't have.
Do you clean her feet with your tongue, too? My name is F aggot, and I am funky. When it comes to F aggotry, I am the junky! -

Hmmm, why am I not surprised that FTH again has a controversial opinion, at a controversial time, that just HAS to be voiced at that controversial time in a controversial way? Interesting, hmmm?
While I have no opinion on your comment's veracity, FTH, I do find it odd that you're labasting Zelda for seeking attention when you, yourself, are obviously doing the same. How about we all just hug, tell each other how important we are, and move on?
James. If it's stupid, but it works, it's not stupid. -

Array I'd love to battle it out with you, but this isn't the proper thread. Out of respect (not for FTH), this is my last response to FTH in this thread.
Sorry, if I offended anyone by feeding the purple troll... "Since when does being a patriot in America mean shutting your mouth?"
