Well, the Adistars would be much easier to find, depending on your foot size and where you live, because the Equipments have not been manufactured for at least a year now.

Equipments pros:
Back shoe makes lunging and retreating second nature, even for a beginner like me.
Durable.
Mostly white. Inquartata won't stab you in the eye if he ever finds you.
Laces are very nice for staying tied.

Equipment cons:
Often hard to find a specific size.
Assymetrical, so if you want to fence leading with the opposite hand/foot, you'll need another shoe.
Some people find them heavy.
Some people don't like their grip

Adistars lo pros:
Non-assymetrical, so you can fence traditional or southpaw.
Very lightweight.
Stylish (many would disagree).

Adistars lo cons:
Some people I know have brought up questions about their durability compared to the Assyms.
Dark (Inquartata eye-stabbing inevitable).

These are just what I've noticed from my use and those of my friends.

If you're on a budget I wouldn't buy either, personally. I wouldn't have bought the Equipments if I didn't have such a big fencing allowance, but you, of course, have to decide for yourself.

EDIT: This thread would probably be best served in the Armoury section, where in-depth discussions on either shoe have already been done.

Repeatedly.

To death.

Repeatedly.
