Alan Alda - in the film "Sweet Liberty" he loses constantly to Michael Caine, who can't fence for toffee. The scenes kept cutting to over Michael's shoulder so that they could have a double. Alan had great action with a sabre though.
Chris:
Damn, I'm glad someone besides me knows that! (Most of my generation hasn't even heard of 'Maiden)...
Now I've got to ask you if you ever train to "Flash of the Blade", "The Duellists" or "Sun and Steel"
Lucy Liu learned fencing for Charle's Angels (what a horrible movie). There's only a 15 second blip of a scene where two fencers are going at it. I think they were using epee's. I remember reading an article about her learning how to fence for Charlie's Angels. If I remember correctly, she didn't really fence in that opening scene. I can't remember what magazine it was in. I know it was a popular magazine though.
Now, there's a fantasy: fencing with Lucy Liu. That scene were she takes off her mask and her hair falls down in slow motion...oh boy.

Ralph Finnes in a movie called Sunshine. There are some excellent sabre fencing scene's in the movie. It's kind of a long movie so you might want to fast forward until you get to the fencing scenes.
I didn't know Neil Diamond was a fencer. Was he any good?
Also someone mentioned Kim Catrell. Really?
Don't know if he counts - Jason Neivers.
Oh, and as far as I remember Geena Davis only learned stage fighting for Cutthroat Island (an alledgedly dire movie - I've never seen it). She's really into her archery though and pretty good by all accounts.
I say no actors who only learn a wee bit for a role as then you'll have a flipping huge list!

Bruce Dickinson rules!!!! I fenced against him in San Francisco about 10 years ago when Iron Maiden was on tour in the Bay Area. He is a lefty and I had a really hard time kicking his *** ( Ok by one touch). Man I miss the old Letterman fencers gym. General DR. William O'brian was such a cool coach. Is he still alive?????

George Peppard was a fencer. When I attended Purdue, there was a story that he fenced with the club. He was also a fencing instructor for a time (gleaned from various Peppard websites). Peppard was most known for his roles in Breakfast at Tiffany's and TV's The A-Team.

Marty
So, don't forget Madonna who acts as a fencing master in the last James Bond movie.
