| The Dark Side? So, I tried sabre for the first time last night - an introductory class at my club. I enjoyed it a lot actually. Am filled with a renewed enthusiasm for fencing after some general apathy, the death of a friend and the loss of an until-then apparently perfectly serviceable boyfriend.
Is it a new era for the fencing weasel? Who knows?
How is everyone anyway? It's nearly the weekend! Hope you all have lots of lovely things to do, or plenty of time to do nothing.

*waves weaselly paws* | Welcome to the dark side (however if you really want to experience the dark side, you should try Epee).
Nothing like a change of pace to liven things up in your life.
Glad you had fun.

| Lou,
Watch out! You'll make yourself irresistable to Quart, the International Man of Mystery!

| Yes, welcome indeed to the Dark Side...
Foil is a art.
Epee is a science.
Sabre is a PASSION. |

| I love sabre. It is way more fun than epee. (But epee challenges me more)

| Oh, I'm afraid the wireless scoring system will be QUITE operational by the time your point weapon friends arrive...

I remember I tried sabre lessons back in my camp years (I explained that somewhere else, but I can't seem to find it) and I liked it a lot. However, the foil bug was firmly implanted by this time and I couldn't be turned. Too bad, as now I can't fence sabre decently if my life depended on it.

Sideous quotes always get rep!
Don't be too proud of this technological scoring system you've constructed. The ability to score a sabre bout is insignificant next to the power of Epee.

Is it a new era for the fencing weasel? Who knows? | Hmmm....she fences sabre....she's suddenly available...hmmm....
If only it weren't for that pesky ocean, and the whole width of North America...
Seriously, I hope indeed that it's a fresh start for you, Lou. And sabre is just the broom to sweep things clean, IMHO! |

I've tried sabre twice. It's a bunch of fun, but I'm very bad at it. Plus, I always REALLY want to fleche. And sometimes I do, but then catch myself and kind of stumble down the strip. It's bad. |

Bahhh, that pesky Atlantic's only $350 round trip! Nothing coupled with time in London and the chance to meet Lou! You want to talk pesky, go check out the trounble Late and Zelda would have trying to conquer their ocean! Now that's a pesky problem.
Go Inq Go. Go Inq Go.

| Don't Louweasel and 'Quart have a 100 year age difference?
Yes, back to foil. You want to flick and scream, not whack and scream.
