| House, M.D. is TEH. RULEZ. Good Lord, has anyone seen that show? I've been watching it religiously for the past few months. When I was in the hospital, my parents would visit later on Tuesday nights and watch it on TV with me. The writing and dialogue is amazing and Hugh Laurie is a VERY convincing and talented actor. Laurie's character, Dr. House, is the classic anti-hero and is someone I can totally relate to. I was watching it for AGES, wondering why Laurie looked so familiar... until someone told me that he was from Blackadder (he played the poncey George in Blackadder the Third).
A few quotes:
Ramona: My OB-GYN died recently. Nice man. Warm hands.
House: Not anymore.
****
House: I don't *need* to watch The O.C., but it makes me happy.
****
House: Ah! The husband described her as being unusually irritating recently.
Cameron: And?
House: I didn't realize it was possible for a woman to be 'unusually' irritable. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0412142/
This. Show. Is. Sheer. Genius.

| Yes, I'm also somewhat obsessed with the show.
But not Laurie.
My favorite "gag" was the one involving the large woman who didn't want her abdominal tumor removed because she wouldn't be able to fit into her bikini anymore.
House: You wear a bikini now?

Why not try "He's a hunk."
or perhaps "He rocks my world."
Or perhaps, "Hugh Laurie wears the most fabulous trousers in all christendom."

(Why do the British Isles breed such amazing men? And then force them to speak with an American accent???) We just have to completely ignore his performance in the "Stuart Little" movies. Quote: |

| But... will he still be a babe when he takes off the most fabulous trousers in all christendom?

| Well I doubt it's US who forced the accent. It was probably US telly exec's. And yes we are all quite amazing - especially us Scots.
Unfortunately it seems my little quote was missed...

| With or without the accent, he's still "babe-a-licious". I'd very much like to see him trouser-less, as well.

Unfortunately it seems my little quote was missed... | Hmm - Gav, I missed your little quote. Care to elaborate?
(Nods in agreement on the Scots comment...) Oh yeah, too bad I can barely make out half of what you guys are saying, but you're sure cute when you say it... I once walked around the Isle of Arran with a guy from way up in the Highlands. Spent hours with him. Had no idea what he was saying most of the time (but he sure was cute). All I really knew was his name was Alan and he liked taking pictures.

| Watch more Blackadder...
I'm not sure whether I should be insulted [on behalf of all Scots men] by '... I can barely make out half of what you guys are saying, but you're sure cute when you say it...' |

I don't know about Scots, but I had to watch Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels like 5 times to understand it all.

That film was supposedly a hit - I wonder why no one has gotten around to making an 'all-american' version. |

And Hugh Laurie was better in the Blackadder series than he is on 'House'.
