| European Champ's These are on at the moment. Today is the Mends Foil and Womens Sabre.
You can see the website here: http://www.fencingech2005.com/english/index.html
Is anyone aware of it being shown on a TV station anywhere? |

| Doesn't look like it is going to be on Eurosport.

| I know. I was hoping one our continental friends would know if it was available on an alternative channel (ie the Hungarian Eurosport equivalent). |

| It's not on any TV program in France. Eurosport usually only shows the world championships. But they are starting (or have they started?) Eurosport 2 which might have them in the future.

| Ok, I've heard that it IS on Raisport. I've no idea what time - I am currently trying to find out. Hopefully one of the UK guys has captured the feeds for earlier stuff.

| I must say that's a very well maintained website they set up. The results have been updated very quickly (not a luxury I am used to seeing)!
Now I'm just waiting for some photos in the 'gallery' section as well.

| In the fechten.org they've already posted that the winner is Cassara vs. Tikhonov for silver. I'm very surprised at how poorly Or did.

No mention of "scherma". And the fencing headlines were from octobre 2004...
I've also checked with eurosport.de and dsf.de, nothing mentioned there. |

I've also checked with eurosport.de and dsf.de, nothing mentioned there. | I got the same results.
I'm hopeful that I can find someone who can get me a copy. |

| Some interesting results in Men's Foil Team: http://www.fencingech2005.com/englis...sapat=0630ftcs
Israel beat Germany 45-36. Great Britain beat Ukraine (don't know if that is an upset or not) 32-31.
A fair number of matches didn't go to 45 points.

| these results are crazy... To win over Germany and then to lose so horribly to France...? These new timings make for curious results...

Do I know sabre or do I know sabre? I'm glad Lopez is finally getting the kind of success he deserves. I hope I can see some footage of him from this competition.
EDIT: Also notice that he missed making the final bout by one touch, losing to Montano 15-14. So close... |

Although you were probably talking about a ROW weapon I am referring to Womens Individual Épée. Someone seems to have screwed the results up.
I had a closer look at one of my clubmates ( Samuelsson, poule no.6) results. She got an index of -7 according to the poules results. Now have a look at those who qualified for the 128-tableau. There are no less than three fencers with an index of -8 who were qualified while my clubmate was not...
(I am aware that the fencer/coach only has so much time to react and protest. Clearly neither the swedish coach, nor the fencer herself, was conscious enough to do so -- which is bad -- but you'd think someone at the secretary would have reacted too. )
Clearly, now, the organisers have realised their mistake because today the full 128-tableau has been erased...
But again, they did a great job updating the results.

| I was referring mainly to the unstable results the Israeli team achieved, winning over Germany and losing very convincingly to France.
I later found out the the Germans came with their second team.
Also, the poor result achieved from Tomer Or, top Israeli foilist, losing to a German ranked amongst the 120th in the world. Oh well.

| Well, that simply keeps things as weird as they were before... and even worse as far as the Israeli performance's concerned.
