| Miami for 2007 would seem to go against the pattern of rotating between East Coast, central, and West Coast. This year it's West Coast, next year East Coast, so I'd have expected something in the middle like Austin again in 2007, or at least back to the west again. That way not all the same fencers are stuck with cross-country flights two years in a row. |

January 13-16, 2006: Division I/Junior
| I believe this is the Houston NAC. At least, I recall it being a Div I/Junior event.
I've heard there's going to be an Austin in 2007 bid. |

and if its in the same convention center as sectionals were a few years back, id like to think it would be good. if memory serves me correctly, it was huge and had pretty good ac. | It was announced w/ some certainty at the Divisional meeting. I wasn't living here last time we hosted sectionals; I think it was at Tamiami Park in the expo center. Sound right?
Good a/c is a necessity here 10 months out of the year. |

Upsides: good facility and mucho dining nearby. Cuban restaurant across the street, health food place 1 block away, top-notch Argentine steakhouse a couple blocks away; good Thai a few blocks further. Plus the usual chains, fastfood and large grocery. The list goes on.
Downside: Commute to / from the hotel might be a bit onerous. |

Of course, this might lower the price then, and make it more attractive to the USFA! | Now if they could only find a way to vent the stench of 1000 sweaty fencers at about 3pm....PHEW!!! |

*I can't remember which, but one of these is Hartford, CN. The others are still in negotiation, but strong possibilities of Sacramento and Denver. |

| I'll bet Hartford's in December, but I'd prefer it if it were in March or April. March or April would still have snow, but it won't be as bad as December, right?

| Here's what was just sent to the board. Tentative locations are ones where the location has been decided but are still pending signed (and acceptable) contracts. In theory these could be moved. The non-tentative locations already have signed contracts. April a location has not yet been identified.
Tentative NAC Schedule 2005-2006
Oct 7-10 D2/3/Cadet Miami
Nov 11-14 Y14 Cadet/Jr Albuquerque
Dec 9-11 D1/Vet Pittsburgh
Jan 13-16 D1/Jr Houston?(tentative)
Feb 17-20 JOs Hartford
March 10-13 D2/3/Vet Denver?(tentative)
April 21-24 D1/Y14/12/10 TBD
June 30-July 9 Summer Atlanta
Lots of East Coast for a change.
