Alas, the video is too choppy and jittery for me to be able to make any sense of the action. Probably my computer is not up to the task, but it seems to "jump" several frames at times, and "freeze" at others.
And thanks for the tips on leaving the volume muted, folks. I'm almost tempted to see whether or not it is wise advice, but only almost---I hear way too much screaming as it is.
Right click and save as, let the whole thing download and then try watching.
a) Ward's screams are a bit piercing...but completely justified given the situation and the intensity she must have had on for that bout.
b) I have to jump on the "footwork is a little iffy" bandwagon. Ward is undoubtedly a tremendous athlete, but her footwork is a little odd. She makes it work very well and it fits her style. Plus, it seems that she has a great sense of distance and timing which more than makes up for that. Whereas Sada's footwork was really good, but her distance and timing seemed a little off that bout...or maybe Ward through it off..only two people know the answer to that one.
Enough people have already written mini documentaries on it...so I'll just leave my piece at that.
