    adidas "adistar" fencing shoes

does anyone know if these shoes run small or large? someone has a pair of men's 7.5 and i'm a women's 9 and i was wondering if these would fit me. normally i wear a men's 8 but i'm hoping that they wouldn't be too small. anyone have any info about the shoes?

i think they run small... my adistars are about a size bigger than my running shoes.

Honestly, the only way you can tell for sure is to try them on.

Are they worth the money? I've been thinking about getting a pair.

From what I've seen, not for epee. I'd try out the Stabils or something similar. Cost you less, in any case.

Even if they run small, they should fit. I'm a women's 8.5-9 (depends on the show) and I wear men's sizes from 7-7.5.

I like the old style a lot. Have not used the new ones. My old ones ran small so I always ordered a half size up but I wear two layers of socks to prevent blisters. I am currrently using the Dart II's and they also seem to run about a half size small, but are a bit wider in the toes and bridge of the foot than the old ones so are nice and comfy for me.

I don't know, the Stabils look like they run a little high on the heel. I like how my Dart 1s are built...and they're pretty light, so I may just suck it up and get the adistars.

heard lots of durabilty issues for the adistars though. actually i've compared the stabil5 and adistar and the soles are of similar material and design (the darts 2 is similar to li ning) and cost a quarter the price. the heel is one of the cons of the stabil though...that and the weight imho. but i love the cushioning and grip...
