| By Invitation Only Hi All,
It is a new policy of the FIE to allow testing of referees at designated national championships of member National Governing Bodies (i.e. you no longer have to go to a World Cup to test for your referee rating). However, for referees with United States citizenship, you still have to be sponsored by the FOC to take the test. In general, the people that are eligible to take the FIE test are those with a "2" or above in the FOC rankings or who have refereed at a Jr. World Cup. If you have not been contacted about taking the FIE test at this Summer Nationals it is safe to assume that you are not currently eligible to do so.
If anyone has questions about this feel free to send me a private note and I'll respond as soon as I can.
Yours,
GD |

| Greg.
Thanks for the clarification. I hope people were not thinking that anyone could go and get thier FIE rating. I think it is a great chance to see the top US refs perform and get their FIE status.
Could you imagine if everyone could test for their FIE ranking. What a train wreck that would be.
Cheers
