My Coach has some Vniti foil blades that he personally uses. He also has some which he lends some out to beginners and people with no foils. What is exraordinary about them though is that they were made in 1997 and only one has ever broken.
I have never seen any one use Vniti blades at local or inernational tournaments and wondered if it was still possible to bye them and if they were still being made.
i own two old style foils and one old style epee.
i know others who've bought them. the new style ones break more easily, are thinner, and much more flick-oriented. this is probably why they're not found much anymore.
they're good, durable blades, but i'd prefer bf blue.
I bought mine over 4 years ago and they are still going strong. I didn't fence last year though.
I would be sorry to hear that they've changed. I love the look of those blades. The part where the forte becomes the tang was the best craftmanship I have seen on a foil blade.

My son uses Vniti foil blades and loves them. These must be the newer type, because he's only been using them about a year. We bought them at Summer Nationals last year and also at an NAC. They shouldn't be difficult to find.
bg occasionally carries them, but doesn't advertise them.
triplette carried them for a while (i bought one from the first imported batch from walter in person at the shop when i first started fencing for $50[foil]) but now they don't carry them.
Their website says they do, and you call them to order one they inform you that they no longer carry them and try to push thier blades instead.

For more rants and raves about how great Vniti foils are check out the armoury section and do a search. Which by the way is where this thread should have went. I love Vniti. They are simply the best made, longest lasting blades ever. The newer ones are a bit lighter which means they only last for 3-5 years of hard use instead of 8-10 but the savings in weight and improved feel mean that they no longer weigh much more that and StM or some batchs of BF FIE blades. If you are looking for a foil that will not break for years get one of these. The best price I know of in the US is the Fencing Post. They offer a 20% discount for internet customers so be sure to subtract that when you look at their prices. www.thefencingpost.com

I love mine. In fact, I pet it regularly, and talk to it, like a plant. It's soooo sexy. Absolute supplied it. It's rather new - a few months old. My preciousss.
The thing never breaks or bends out of shape, and takes a LOT of abuse. I can't imagine what I'll do when it finally dies. Just buy another, I suppose. Maybe two if I can afford them.
