need a suggestion on blade brands

My coach recommended that I purchase a sabre with a better quality blade than I have been using as of late (just to have one reliable primary weapon).

He recommended the Hostin-Plus blades, but the place I prefer to order from doesn't carry them. Currently, I'm trying to decide between the Uhlman Ultra or Allstar Superstar blades. Anyone on this board have experience (good or bad) with any of these three?

As for blade quality, you want the one that is shinier because that connotates that you are better than the other person. If it's not shiny, you can bring it to an auto shop to get it bored, stroked, tabled, ported, polished, grinded, turbo-charged and chromed.
Add a pair of fuzzy dice in the loop at the tip and you're all set to win.

Uhlmann and Allstar blades are badge-engineered versions of the same blades from Blaise Freres, so there's no difference except for what the stamp on the blade says.
BF blades are on the stiff side and generally have a good reputation (though there've been a few complaints recently some of them not lasting as long as they should). Regardless, they ought to be better than Hostin Plus, as France-Lames non-maraging blades have had a less-than-stellar reputation for the past few years (though the Hostins may be a step up from the base FL blades).

Just don't buy FL. I have had many years bad luck with them.
